Gers Pardoel (1981), is a Dutch singer and rapper, singing Dutch hip hop ('Nether-hop'/'Nederhop'). The name Gers is short for Gerwin and means 'cool' in street language (city dialect of Rotterdam).
His first album, This world is yours (2011), was awarded with a Platinum Record. One of the songs of this album also was released as single, above song 'Come on, let's go'/'Ik neem je mee'. It became a big hit. It was number 1 in the Top 40 for 6 weeks and remained in the list for 33 weeks in a row. It also was a big hit in Flanders (double Platinum).
In the same year he had a hit with 'Luggage rack'/'Bagagedrager' (2011). In 2017 he released his third album. Since that time he mainly performs in Flanders, on stage and in several tv-shows.

In above song 'Come on, let's go'/'Ik neem je mee' (2011) Pardoel describes how he is torn between his sweetheart (since the primary school) and love of his life on the one hand - and his ambitions and the pressures of his work as an artist on the other hand.
In the video he takes her on a journey around the world, which at the same time represents their life together. The melodie of the song is based on the French pop song 'Femme Liberée' by Cookie Dingler (1984).
In real life Gers Pardoel indeed is married and has two children.
