with lyrics, music, video and English translation songtext

picture garland guirlande symbol of dutch song translated English translation

But most, most of all, I'd like to put you in a box
A little box for safe keeping and guarding
And then I would insure you for one point five million
And constantly I'd briefly lift the cover just to peek
And I strike and caress then your hair so softly
You're lying safe and sheltered upon the cotton wool
No thief is gonna steal you, you're mine and mine alone

But most, most of all, I'd like to put you in a box
And then constantly just peeking
Very carefully just peeking
And constantly just peeking
Hmmm

Heel voorzichtig even kijken
Dan telkens even kijken
Hmmm

Of course it's all right to get out every day
One hour at most, yes one hour at most
To visit the Amsterdam Vondel Park quickly
To feed there the ducks in the pond but no longer
But if you would flee, I'd not lose you for long
'Cause I will find you back, yes I will find you back

And then constantly just peeking
Very carefully just peeking
And constantly just peeking
And a kiss

Heel voorzichtig even kijken
Dan telkens even kijken
En een zoen
